Episode 20 - Tom Manchester | Electro Sound Systems
Over 15 years ago, Tom wanted a stereo system bigger and louder than his friends, and like many guests on this show, entrepreneurship just happened. Graduating college in 2009, Tom worked a gig literally right after his graduation ceremony, and eventually smaller gigs turned into bigger gigs which turned into a full time job.
Early on in his career, Tom invested in digital audio technology versus analog audio which proved to be advantageous for him, his team and clients. Today, Tom is the president and lead project manager for Electro Sound Systems, which in 2019, provided audio services for 328 events. Like many of us, Tom was unsure of how the pandemic would play out, but he kept busy and found new ways to generate income.
Tom goes on to explain how he became Joe Biden's audio engineer during the presidential campaign and after he was elected President - spending 5 days a week in D.C. away from his family. Listen today to learn more about Tom’s entrepreneurial journey and his biggest moment as an audio engineer.
